Melberg, Sherry Lou (Bowman)

Dec. 1, 1942 - Aug. 26, 2016 FLORISSANT, CO Age 73, passed away Aug. 26, 2016 in Centennial, CO surrounded by family. She was born in Oklahoma City on Dec. 1, 1942 to Byrne A. and Nancy Bowman. She graduated from Harding HS and the University of Oklahoma where she was an Alpha Phi. She was a stewardess for Pan Am Airlines and an administrative assistant at St. Anthony's Hospital. She was an accomplished pianist and artist and loved her guitar and needlework. She was a true and loyal friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Byrne A. "Pete" Bowman, Jr., Frederick T. Melberg, Jr., and her beloved Chihuahua, Lucy. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Beth Matson (Scott), Sugar Land, TX, Jennifer Anderson (Jon), Paradise, CA, Janet Melberg, Santa Cruz, CA, and Jeanne Melberg (Rock Smallwood), Denver, CO; grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Jeremie, Jaime, Payten, Gage and Zoe, three great grandchildren and many friends. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM, Sat., Oct. 1, 2016, in OKC at Charleston's 5608 W. Memorial Rd.

I am so sorry to hear about Sherry's death.  What I remember most about her were her eyes and what an expressive face she had!  And her strong voice!  My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family!

"Sherry was my neighbor growing up in Elementary School, etc.    Although I lost track of her afterr graduation, I will alway remember her "spunkiness."
