Robert Erwin

Feb 21, 1942 - Nov 7, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Robert B. Erwin passed away on Nov. 7, 2014. He was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Oklahoma City, the son of Beyrl & Alice Erwin. He graduated from Harding High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oklahoma City University. Robert served as an MP in the U.S. Army. Following an honorable discharge, he worked as a smokejumper in the U.S. Forestry Service prior to joining Westinghouse as a district manager. Robert returned to Oklahoma City in the 1970s and became a licensed real estate appraiser. He was a member of the NRA and at one time, was a member of the American Legion. He loved traveling, especially taking the back roads to small locales. He joins his wife of 41 years, Sherry, in Heaven as well as his parents and sister, Eva Ann. He is survived by two children, Chris and Jennifer; and one granddaughter, Christina. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Kernke 23rd Street Chapel. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Minco.
