Charlie was a great high school athlete at Harding, and was our QB in football his senior year. He was also a well rounded poker player his senior year who had the capability of remembering cards that had previously been played in current game. I certainly enjoyed his company on the field of play and his great attitude in winning and/or losing. Prayers for the Mugg family during this time of remembrance.

Seeing and feeling our classmates depart us is like standing on the ocean beach watching our sand castles wash away at high tide.  Even if you did not circulate in Charles circles of activities like me for example, you felt his friendship anyway. Our kinship went way back to playing on Horace Mann little leaque teams and attending Lee Paramore dance classes next to Hyde drugstore.  So ongoing Harding actities added many good memories of him, not to be washed away.

So interesting about your simile regarding our sand castles  washing away at high tide. I do remember Lee Paramore dance class next to Hyde Drug. Seems we were televised with the wigs and all the pomp and circumstance. I worked at Hyde Drug wrapping packages, etc. Charlie was a really good guy and a friend to me and many of my friends. He started a baseball team in later years and asked my brother to play on his team. Jody remembers him as a friend and good athlete. Appreciate your comments.
