John Neaves

John N. Neaves, age 58, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2001. He died at home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born November 9, 1942, in Oklahoma City, the second son of Norris and Minnie Neaves. After graduating from Harding High School in Oklahoma City, he attended college and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was the bailiff for the Pulaski County Circuit Court 3rd Division. He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock. Survivors include his wife, Linda Neaves, and his children, David R. Neaves and his wife, Lori, of Carrollton, TX, and Heather Richardson and her husband, Todd, of Little Rock. He had three grandchildren, Christopher Neaves, Katie Neaves, and Nicholas Richardson, whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by one brother, Dr. Norman Neaves of Oklahoma City. His parents and a younger brother, David A. Neaves of Denison, TX preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be Monday, 1:00 p.m., October 22, 2001 at Fellowship Bible Church, Burial to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 21st at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock. Memorials may be made to Little Rock Christian Academy.

John and his brother Norman went to Wesley Methodist with me. I loved watching John run hurdles. He never missed. Most impressive. He was also one of the good guys.
