Richard K. "Dick" Pemberton died on June 16, 1992, in LaJolla, CA, following a six month illness. He was survived by his wife, Valerie, and step-daughter, Dua, of the home; and his son, Bradley Pemberton and grandson, Chase Pemberton, of Ponca City. His daughter, Alice Pemberton, predeceased him.
Dick received a Bachelor's Degree from OU where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta.

Dick and I first met when we were five years old. We remained good friends until his death in 1992. As most of you know, Dick was a successful stock broker in OKC for many years. After winning his battle with alcoholism, Dick started a successful chain of dry cleaners in OKC. After selling the chain,he moved to southern California where he lived until his untimely death from cancer in 1991.Dick had good years and bad years, but he was a great friend!
