School Story:

Got knocked out by Guy Jones in a football tackling drill. Woke up to see Coach Potter waving his hand in my face, asking "How many fingers do you see?" Answer: 4 and 1/2, Coach. (An inside joke. Ed.)

Just "Happy Days" type memories, wonderful school faculty, facilities and especially classmates. Always loved Miss Miller, best teacher I ever had. She called me "punkin' head". Really great school spirit , excellent coaches and pretty darn good teams too. And weren't the rolls good!

Speaking of teams, we would have won conference if not for my fumble vs. NE. Still, Harding was a wonderful experience, and by today's standards, almost mythical. Hope to see you at the reunion!

God speed, Phil.
