Phillip "Phil" Wilson Lowell passed away at Queen's Medical Center on March 9, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the age of 83. Phil was born in Oklahoma. After graduating from Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma, with a degree in math and science, he began a distinguished career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Phil served as an FBI agent for over thirty years until his retirement in 1998. Though his work often involved fascinating and sometimes dangerous assignments, he was characteristically humble about his lifelong career. Following his retirement, Phil settled in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he embraced island life and quickly became a "local." He enjoyed making new friends, playing golf with the Beach Boys Golf Club, telling jokes and stories, and spending time at his favorite spots, from his early days at the Wailana Coffee House and the Hale Koa. Until the last few months of his life, Phil could often be found walking a few miles a day around Waikiki. Phil was a very generous person that had the gift of making everyone he'd meet feel special. One of his greatest joys was visiting with people he held dear, especially at Sunday family dinners. Phil is survived by his best friend and wife of 25 years, Carol Lee; his sons, Steve Lowell (Shelby) and Craig Lowell; his grandchildren, Clayton Lowell (Amber), Adam Lowell (Paige), Emma Lowell, and Audrey Lowell; and his great-granddaughters, Olivia and Caroline Lowell. He is also survived by his beloved brothers, Tim Lowell (Gayle) and Steve Lowell (Becky) and their families. He was also a treasured member of Carol's extended family. A Celebration of Phil's life will be held on June 13, 2026 in Honolulu, Hawaii. For details of the Celebration of Life for Phil please email his family at Plow808@aol.com.
