I had the pleasure of seeing Bob (Cockroach) Price for the last time at our 50th Reunion.  I  had not seen Bob for about 30 years.  I considered Bob a good guy and a great friend.  We went through a lot  of "hell raising" highschool/college years but we also went through the maturing years with such great events such as marriage and finding out the better things in life.   I remember going on a wild trip to New Orleans with Bob and a couple of other guys. We raised hell and then made our way to  Shreveport, LA., where our car crapped out on us.  We went to the bus station to get tickets back to OKC and as we entered the station, we passed a guy in the doorway who Bob later identified as his father, who he had not seen for years.  I am sure that had to be a difficult moment for Bob, but at least he was able to make one last connection with him.  Bob was a good friend and I know that he is in a better place.   Good luck  "Cockroach"

I knew Bob fairly well, but not as well as I would have liked.  He was always a pleasure to be around and I like to think that we were friends.  I remember at one of our reunions when we were talking to coach Ed Rotszinger (I know this is spelled wrong), he told Bob that he was one of the best football players he had seen.  Bob said "But Coach, you kicked me off the team".  Coach replied "That was because you started smoking".  That was Bob and that was Coach.    We went all the way through Edgemere Grade School from the third grade and then Harding for the full six.  Locked in my memories of sunnier days.

Like many of us, I did not see Bob after highschool until the last reunion.  Bob sat with several of us at the dinner.  I enjoyed getting to vist with him but he was very ill then.  He was one of the group that I ran around with.  A vivid memory is that Bob once took a ride on the front fender of my chevy with painfull results.  There are too many no longer with us.  May he rest in peace.
