Raymond Stahl


Raymond M. Stahl of Duncan, OK joined those who have preceded him in heaven on July 21, 2024.
Visitation was held Thursday, July 25 from 6-7 p.m. at Whitt Funeral Home, Duncan, Ok. The funeral service was Friday, July 26 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Duncan, Okla where he has been a member since moving to Duncan. The Rev. Mark Jardine will be officiating the funeral followed with his burial in the Duncan City Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Raymond was born April 18, 1942, in Oklahoma City, OK to Edwin J. and Katherine Stahl Sr. He graduated from Harding High School in May, 1960. He attended the Oklahoma State University and graduated in May, 1966, with a BS degree in Agriculture.
Raymond went to work for the U.S. Forest Service in 1965 and worked in 6 different districts across the states of California and New Mexico before retiring in 1997. Upon retirement, Raymond moved to Duncan to help take care of his aging parents and to be close to his family. During his retirement years, he spent almost every summer at his cabin in Eagle Nest, New Mexico and traveling with his good friends.
His enjoyed his hobbies which included trap shooting, the outdoors, fishing trips to Canada, working out with his buddies at Planet Fitness, Monday morning breakfast group and his Thursday night dinner group. Raymond loved to travel and enjoyed riding his Harley and traveling to various destinations.
He dearly loved to talk to his friends, and he was the definition of positive. Most importantly, Raymond was a believer and is now resting with those who have preceded him in death.
Raymond loved his friends and family dearly and was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Katharine Stahl Sr., his brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Nancy Stahl, Jr.
He is survived by his two nephews and their families - John M. (Mike) Stahl and his wife Margaret and Stephen G. (Greg) Stahl and his wife Katharina along with their kids and grandkids.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Pancreatic Cancer Research, or a charity of your choice.
