Emily Anne Coston, 27, of Durham, N.C. and formerly of Oklahoma City, died at a Durham hospital of cancer in January of 1970. She was born and grew up in Oklahoma City, attending Oklahoma City schools. She had moved to Durham six months earlier from Bellhaven, N.C. She was survived by a son, David Truett Coston, and a daughter, Laura Anne Coston. She had previously been married to Rhodes B. Martin.

Emily was in our Sunday School group at St. Luke's and her dad, Truett, was our teacher for several years. Emily was very quiet but sweet. It was sad that she was diagnosed with a tumor while she was still in high school.
