After graduating from Harding, I attended Sullins College in Bristol, Va. and then graduated from the O.U. in 1964, with a degree in English Lit. During my senior year at O.U., I ran into Ruthie Darrough on the South Oval and we decided to go to Glacier Park for the summer and work as maids and waitresses at Many Glacier Lodge. We took a train to Minneapolis and the "Great Unknown"--what a great summer we had!
David (1957-NW Classen)and I have been married 46 years, have 2 sons and 5 wonderful grandchildren. In 1973, we moved to Chickasha where we raised our boys and I was involved in church, civic, and community affairs. I also served on the Chickasha School Board and the Board of Regents at USAO.
In 1993, we returned tp OKC, happy to be home with family and old and new friends. My bridge club includes Jamie Lewinsohn and Carol Prosser--sometimes old friends and the best friends. Several years ago, Carol Prosser's foreign exchange sister, Lise Budde from Denmark, and I went on a road trip to Taos, New Mexico to see Sandra Wilkins. It was a great reunion.
I continue to be involved at church, serve on boards, play tennis, and most of all spend time with our grandchildren. Family vacation trips are a top priority for us, especially at our place at Big Cedar in the Ozarks, or the beach or mountains.
Harding was an incredible school-so were the 50's. Thanks for the memories.
